Bittensor as Credit Line Issuance Marketplace

The SecureTrade platform works with a Bittensor subnet designed to integrate credit line issuance, trade transaction underwriting, and payment processing to facilitate the financing of trade transactions.

The Bittensor Subnet provides a decentralized credit line issuance marketplace that connects buyers seeking payment assurance with underwriters (miners) who assess risk and provide collateral backing. The subnet operates through a three-tier architecture involving Validators, Miners (Underwriters), and smart contracts interactions across both public EVM network.

Roles

The SecureTrade platform relies on:

  • Underwriters (as Miners): The core risk-takers. They analyze credit line issuance requests, provide collateral, and compete to offer the best underwriting terms.
  • Validators: The auctioneers and risk managers. They distribute credit line issuance requests, evaluate miner offers, select the optimal one and trigger credit line issuance on-chain via Trade-S tokens.

to facilitate secure trade finance transactions.

Components

ComponentDescription
SecureTrade Trader ApplicationUser interface for Buyers/Sellers to initiate paypledges & request credit line issuance.
SecureTrade Underwriter ApplicationOnboards miners and configures wallets, enabling them to submit offers in the marketplace.
ValidatorManages credit line issuance request distribution, miner evaluation, and offer selection.
MinersProcess requests (CLRs), provides collateral by transferring TRADE-S to borrowers, and submit Credit Line Issuance Offers (CLOs).
SubtensorThe underlying blockchain for the Bittensor network.
Public NetworkManages the deposit of Trade-S Coins: provides collateral for traders.

Workflow

  1. A buyer initiates a credit line issuance request via the SecureTrade Trader application.
  2. Buyer selects Marketplace with Lock-in period and optional credit amount, to send the request to the configured Bittensor Validator.
  3. The Validator receives and broadcasts the Credit Line Issuance Request (CLR) to all active Miners in the subnet.
  4. Miners:
    • Perform credit scoring and risk assessment.
    • Assess buyer's credit worthiness, and offer to assign a credit limit, by sending a p2p message to validator.
    • Submit their credit line issuance offers (CLOs) to the validator.
    • (if credit amount is not specified the miner uses borrower data provided by application to do risk assessment & credit line analysis and offer credit line based on assessment)
  5. The validator compares the offers and selects the optimal one (least premium, max credit amount offered) - invites that miner to issue the credit limit, by sending a p2p message to miner.
  6. Miner issues the credit limit to buyer by depositing TRADE-S to PUB_SAFE_BUYER and send a response back to validator
  7. Validation to Application:
    • Minting TRADE-P tokens to the buyer in the private network.
    • Buyer now uses TRADE-P tokens as an active credit limit, recycling them in paypledges.
